Younger children love being read to and will enjoy pointing out the people and animals in the story. Older children can also read it for themselves. All children benefit from a kind but firm assurance that they are alright as they areand they don’t need to change into something or someone else in order to do what they enjoy!

This story is about Betty, a girl who wants to run fast and have lots of friends, and a boy called Archie who wants to be clever and make things! Find out what their Mum and Dad tell them and how they end up happy to be themselves – without changing anything! "I Like Being ME!" is quirky and endearing with a simple, repetitive, storyline that starts with children wanting to change into something elsebecause they think they need to do that in order to make their dreams come trueand ends with the girl and boy happy to be themselves and (just like Mum and Dad) moving beyond silly gender stereotypes.

This large print edition was specially prepared for the author's elderly mother who is visually impaired and now published for other people who find the usual size of print challenging to read. The story is in font size 72, as are the headings, Dedication, Thanks and the inside blurb; copywrite information is in font size 36 and the About the Author and Dear Reader sections are in font size 48.
